Today I’m thinking of my great grandfather who was born on 1 May 1864 in Old Monkland, Lanarkshire. You can read a bit more about him by clicking here.
I have just one photograph of him which was taken in 1912.
I thought I would try the picture animation on the My Heritage site. They call it Deep Nostalgia. “Animate the faces in your family photos with amazing technology. Experience your family history like never before.” I’m not sure how I feel about the results to be honest.

Yes, and it is a computer guessing at nuance of expression. I think I’d rather use my own descendant imagination. Will probably give it another chance or two..
